Bisola! Her Story!
Damsel” as she fondly referred to herself in life was born to Mr. Elijah Akinyemi and Miss. Bolajoko Ogunremi on Sunday, 16th April, 1995 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta. In conformity with traditional rights and norms she was christened Abisola Abiodun Akinyemi a week later. The flame of passion of Little Abisola lit the hearts of her parents, neighbours and friends as she burgeoned in strength, wit and grace in child to adulthood.
Abisola became a graduate of Mass Communications with her educational paths crisscrossing St. Anthony’s Nursery and Primary School in September, 1997-June, 2000; St. Bernadette Nursery & Primary School, Ibara, Abeokuta between September, 2000 & July, 2005; Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Onikolobo, September, 2005 – June, 2011; Folarin-Daley Secondary School, Oke-Mosan, September, 2011 – June, 2013 and Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo between September, 2014-July, 2018.
“Maamo”, “Bisko”, Wherever she found herself, Abisola’s spring of likable and amiable personality doused tension and quenched the thirst of all and sundry. As a beacon of hope for young girls and women, her steadfastness, comport ability and strong will assured others on the other side of the aisle that barriers were meant to be overcome. In bits and pieces did she share her foodstuffs, provisions and time to augment shortfalls among the under-privileged and disadvantaged ones. Her sacrifice of God-given gifts and talents to the emancipation crusade and inclusion of diversity made her an outstanding figure of emulation.
Death is an inevitable debt which Abisola has now paid. Truly, she has ceased to steer the bandwagon of nobility since falling to the firepower of the chariots of Apollo on 27th June, 2021, the 9569th day in her journey. Nonetheless, The Seed of Joy Giver Support Foundation (TSJGSF) will continue to grow Her seeds of love and legacies to serve as erasers of sadness and dejection in jungles of faith for orphans in orphanages, in swamps of hope for behaviorally-challenged children in borstals and correctional settings, as well as in oasis of charity for indigent patients in public hospitals in Abeokuta, Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
Adieu Abisola! Your milk of human kindness shall not dry-up. Rest in perfect peace in the bosom of your Creator.
